Results & insights
Through keyword research, we identified high-impact terms that resonated with Playmax's offerings. This strategic foundation laid the groundwork for a tailored Google Ads approach. Crafting a bespoke strategy that aligned with Playmax's brand identity and goals, we designed compelling ad campaigns that not only showcased Playmax's products but also spoke directly to the desires and interests of the gaming community.

Hurdles we triumphed over!
Challenge 01
No Traffic For Generic Searches (only brand)
Playmax already had strong brand awareness across New Zealand. Because of this, they had a steady amount of traffic coming direct to the website with a good amount of sales. Having said that, these sales were coming from users that already knew about their brand. Therefore, we setup both Search & Shopping campaigns to drive through traffic that didn't know their brand and to target users searching for gaming product related searches. The result that we saw from this, was an increase in brand awareness and sales.
Challenge 02
Initial Low Engagement Rate
When we initially set the campaigns live, we found the engagement rate was lower from the Google Ads channel compared to other channels. Once we had enough data and came to the conclusion something was wrong, we were quick to set up campaign experiments to test different variables. Firstly, we tested new keywords and ad copy, then secondly tested a new landing page. After doing these experiments, we knew which route to take to improve the engagement rate.
"An agency that truely cares about their clients and focuses on building a relationship as well as driving better results. When Bump created our Shopping campaign, we saw a huge spike in e-commerce sales"
